Club Statement

Everyone at Whitehill Welfare was shocked by the injuries sustained by Adam Strachan during the match between BSC Glasgow & ourselves on Wednesday 3 October and fully understand the officials’ decision to abandon the game.

The club contacted the League Board first thing on Thursday morning to make it clear that we had no desire for the game to be replayed. With 80 minutes already played, the result was never in doubt and requested that the result stood. We are grateful to the League Board for acting swiftly on making this decision so that the focus can be on ensuring Adam gets all the support he needs at this time. We wish him well in his recovery.
