Gretna 2008 v Whitehill Welfare

It’s Matchday.

This afternoon we face Gretna 2008 at Raydale Park, 30 Dominion Road, Gretna DG16 5AP, in the Lowland League, kick off 3pm. Admission is £6 with kids going free.

Today is a meeting of 9th v 8th with our 4-0 win over Cumbernauld Colts and Gretna’s 1-0 loss to Civil Service Strollers seeing us move above the black and whites last weekend.

This will be the 21st meeting of the two sides, with 9 wins for Whitehill, 6 for Gretna and 5 draws so far. The last 2 games between us have seen big wins for both. In August Gretna thumped us 6-1 at Ferguson Park having lost our previous encounter, also in Rosewell, 5-1 in the final game of last season.

Our first ever meeting with Gretna was in April 2010 when we lost 5-2 AET in an away South Challenge Cup tie.

Today will be our 10th match at Raydale Park. Last season we travelled down in August, losing 3-1. Our last win came in March 2015 when an Aaron Somerville hat-trick sent us on our way to a midweek 4-0 win.

In total our record here reads W3 D2 L4.
