East Stirling 3 Whitehill Welfare 1

An Andy Rodgers double, either side of half time, sent the Shire on their way to a win over Whitehill at Ochilview Park this afternoon. The first came from the penalty spot after Kerr Dodds had fouled the forward, who dusted himself down before scoring. Rodgers produced a pin point lob that beat Ross Jardine, to make it 2-0, with 51 minutes played. Just before the half hour mark Whitehill got themselves back in the game when Steph Murray was upended after a great run into the box and Josh Morris sent Jamie Barclay the wrong way with his penalty. 20 minutes from time though, the game was ended as a contest, when Graeme MacGregor found the top corner from 25 yards giving Jardine no chance. In the closing stages Murray picked up 2 yellow cards and we again finished with 10 men.
