Cammy Watson equaliser secures point

In a game that Whitehill dominated in large spells they were forced to settle for a point after falling behind to a long range effort in the second half.

The home side should have taken the lead heading into the break. Ciaran Chalmers shot inches wide after good work down the left from Kyle Brockie before Stephane Murray hit the cross bar with a great strike from distance with Declan Knox unable to follow up the rebound.

Whitehill started the second half strongly but as can so often happen in football it was Tynecastle who stood firm and opened the scoring themselves. A speculative shot from the best part of 40 yards caught Ross Jardine out and he was unable to prevent it going over the line. With just over 20 minutes left Ian Flynn’s side levelled. Gary Nicholson saw his strike saved by the keeper and Cammy Watson was on hand to smash in the rebound. Whitehill pushed for a winner with Murray (twice) and Nicholson both going close but in the end it finished honours even.
